Make change and growth the new normal for staff and customers by:
- Removing fear
- Identify and communicate the benefits
- Show how different will be better for everyone or at least the majority.
- Create an example and then promote and communicate that.
Start with people that are disaffected by the old normal, but rather than insight emotion, show the new possibility of a new normal and how everyone will benefit. Show everyone why and how you are going to increase buy-in.
Once you’ve got buy-in, add emotion especially of how the benefits of the changes will feel in the longer term. Important to communicate these emotions are only an outcome and may not be the reason why this change is being made.
